made this tool to tap my frame for shock mounts. and it worked great! scrap flat bar with a hole a little bigger than you need bolt a nut to it and weld the nut. I then pulled out the bolt and used the drill bit that I had used to drill the holes to be tapped to line them up. clamp it and tap it . the only crooked tap I had was the one I didnt use it on!
