It says pre war, but I wonder if it wasn't post war. Several 39-40 Fords in there, two or three highly customized, and it's doubtful many folks could buy a new car and have it customized like that. Great piece of history whenever it was filmed.
My Pa in Law had some old 8mm converted to VHS a few years ago. They were from the late 50's -early 60's when he was in the USAF. There was a lot of his family on them, but there was a section of a drag race at an air field somewhere that he went to. It was old, flagman start, lots of old coupes and roadsters. Wish I had some way to convert it to digital and upload that section to Utube.
