I love the way these trans look and shift, especially the big jump between first and second. Does anyone reproduce them to make it more street/race friendly without adding an overdrive?

To the best of my understanding, a three-speed trans by any make, uses the same ratios regardless the shifter type.

3 speed column shifter setup had too many long rods and bushings etc.....generally got pretty sloppy real quick. A floor shift right down on the tranny worked better
I guess if you beefed up the rods to avoid them flexing and kept after the bushings, they would work alright, but still a long stroke between shifts.
