I think this one looked pretty good. I'm not real sure why the price is so high except for the fact it was in a magazine. Not much left to work with but a blueprint of what tot do. I think it looks better without the big chrome side strips.

This is " The Black Flame " built from 1953-1956 in Davenport , Iowa by Jack Crabbs. May 1957 Rod & Custom feature car.1948 Buick Roadmaster four door heavily customized in and out - widened 8" chopped channeled stretched and more. Tilt nose, removable roof. Partial nailhead engine...does not run or drive. Fell victim to serious neglect. Very rotted . For the deep pocketed preservationist of lost kustoms. Valid title. This one has been making the rounds of some of the Custom Car forums. The fact that it is an old build and a magazine car give it much of it's value but as stated you are going to need "Deep" pockets to bring this one back.
Not my Favorite but I would like to see it preserved.

Obviously a lot of work and talent went into the original build.

Put it in a custom car museum as is. We need to be reminded occasionally that a bunch of good ideas all in one place may not add up to a good idea.

Can you say, "The whole is not equal to the sum of its parts."? I knew you could. :D
