watching with interest, thanks for updating Mike

Thanks earthman, I'm here to entertain. to many builds going at once but I try to get some new stuff up.

Finished up the fenders and got the dash/window post mounts in. got up to a skiff of snow today had to spend a couple hours moving thing in the garage to get the tub out of the weather but got her done.

it is getting harder to believe this started as a pile of tin for the most part and I still have the good stuff for the later part of this thread.

its looking like a car now!keep up the good work

Lookin' Good!![cl

Thanks guys, I think I'm just about over some of the learning curve and my body work is getting alot better. I'm going to give the tub a rest for a week, the parts for my 51 are in so I'll be back on that and try to finish that up in about a week, That will give me some time to chew on the tub on what I'm going to do with it. Between a rock and a hard spot rigth about now I still have all the good tin so I'm thinking about stopping where I'm at on it and putting it up for sell.

Man I sure like yer builds,I have a t body but im sure leanin towards a truck! Im still at that spot where my build could go a few directions! You guys on this site sure make it hard to decide, every time another page opens I see sooooo much I like! I do like the 30s-40s trucks more and more!! ill try to get some pics up asap! LOOKIN GOOD!

just an up date

Thank's 2nd gear, just keep poking around the site you will find the look your going for.

Out of money for the 51 right now but been wheel'n and deal'n. Sold the fiat that I was thinking about pulling parts off for this (Bob the euro POO POO is gone) work out some trading with a couple guy's In the end I will come out with a 454 and 4 speed :D I do have the frame under my 52 f-1 that I am thinking about using under the tub. I have not had any real buyer's for the tub so if i go this route I wont need any cash for a while and can get it down to sitting on a frame with a motor and tranny.

Just a quick update. Part 1 of the 2 part build is gone, moved on to a guy that welds for the rigs. He was real happy with the work that I did on the tub and could not believe what I started with. It is going spend the next couple years being built into a nice little rod. Round 1 was just to see if I could work with someting that beat up and bring a new life into some old tin.

The good news is I still have all the good tin left for round 2. Going to back burner it till the end of the year. Trying to get a couple other projects done. Hope everyone ejoyed the first half. Would like to thank everyone that followed and posted. Stay tuned there will be more to follow.

Ok some eye candy

This cowl was easier then the first one, only took 2 hours to clean up, remove nails and knock out a coupe ruff spots. It is ready for frame work.

This is looking really, really good.

Thanks Bob, so far mine happy with the way it is looking

Not much room with that kick up ,hows the seating going to be ?

From the fire wall to the kick up is 36". Depending on what seat and how it gets mounted. Flat on the floor would come out about 34" firewall to back of the seat. With a 6" seat perch it would come out around 40" firewall to back of seat.
