Some of you are just getting started with metal work on your vehicles. This is a trick I learned from an older German tin basher. It is what he learned on when he did his apprenticeship in the old country. Nothing more than a simple piece of angle iron cut in the middle to form a circle, held in a vise with the small size. I use two vices for the 48"er one at each end. Simply clamp the metal you want to bend and strike lightly with a hammer, gradually from one end to the other till you reach the angle desired. Hope this helps....

I have pretty much the same thing except I cut the angle iron in half then bolted together with a thin washer inbetween. works excellent

Got a stack of bed rails in the shop. Gonna be busy makin some of these. I use bed rails for everything. They are free for the pickins all the time around here.

i used the same idea when i was fabbing my floorpan. i just used 6 foot lengths of 2x4 so i could make continous bends the length of the pan on either side
