Dash mounted, wiring getting done, Caddy tilt/telescoping column in. I made the dash from a solid chunk of 1" thick mahogany and had it all stained and clearcoated but just didn't think it went with the rest of the car, so I scuffed it over and painted it gold body color. With the roof painted and mounted, you can see the strips of wood glued to the inside to staple the headliner to. Behind the seat is the compressor and tank - for this setup I kept it simple and used manual paddle switches to raise and lower the bags.

That interior is Sweet! Worked in a custom upholstery shop for a few years after I retired. Ultra Leather was my favorite but also expensive. Stuff is as soft as a babys bottom.

Pretty much completed and mobile.

Top Lock?

Hey ZZ.. how did the top secure on this ride? I've been thinking about removing the top on my 40 Chevy, but wasn't sure of how I should hold it in place when it's on the car... Not to mention it may weigh more than I want to fool with when removed lol....:D

It was secured with 4 bolts - one at each top corner of the window frame and with one on each side just behind the doors - they screwed into a stub sticking above the top of the quarter panel something like a Model A or 32.

Couple last pics, I made a small rear bumper from some scrap stainless in a sort of Von Dutch flying eye shape with a Cadillac emblem in the center, also changed the tailpipes to 4" stainless tips.
