This past Friday & Saturday was the 2nd annual Fall Out Drags at Rock Falls Raceway near Eau Claire, WI. There was 200 1966 and older nostalgia drag cars in attendance. The weather was perfect.

I ran a personal best of 11.65 at 118 mph. Unfortunately the powerglide transmission let go while slowing down after that run. Still, a great way to end the season.

Following are some pics of the type of cars on the grounds.

What did you take, Bob? Crosley? Dragster?

I like the flip top Anglia. Thanks for taking us along! [cl

Thanks for the ride.

Love the 57 Ford, and the back half of the 30-ish whatever it is. The rest are just great!

I brought the dragster. Here's a pic with a young spectator standing in front of it. The Crosley has developed evil handling problems and I haven't had time to figure it out. Since I have to fix the Powerglide I will also get a higher stall converter and narrow the rear end. The converter should help the 60 foot times and the narrow rear will just look better. The five slot wheels will find their way on to it too.
The Prefect & Scout are owned by brothers from Winnipeg. The ratty Crosley is a legit 9.50 e.t. runner. And the green '37 Chevy belongs to my friend Bearded Bob. He and RRR members Terry & Lee (Tator) put a lot of fab work into it. I think the color is perfect.

I had really wanted to go to the Fallout this year but at the last minute my wife was unable to take the time off work due to project deadlines that had to be met. Sigh!! Maybe next year.

From what I've heard I wouldn't have been able to run Sheets anyway since the chassis certification is IHRA as is my competition license. Guess I'll have to look in to getting everything switched over. IHRA accepts NHRA credentials but, for some reason, not the other way around. And Rock Falls is an NHRA track.

Mechanical woes aside, a great way to spend the weekend, so many cool cars, like some kind of time warp [cl
Thanks for the pics, I can almost smell the rubber and race gas [dr
