Hey guys;
Here is a question; I might need to clean up some rust; someone told me to use coca cola... obviously it didn't work.
Any ideas how to clean it from a chrome surface?

Ah yes. The check's in the mail. I will still respect you in the morning and Coke gets rid of rust.[S
Coke may have worked at one time. But it ain't what it used to be.:D

On chrome parts that had rust I used to use a mild rubbing compound followed by a good coat of wax to try to seal it and to help slow down the re-rusting process.
Some people also soak parts in a white vinegar bath to remove rust as the vinegar is a very mild acid. But I don't know what that would do to the chrome.
Hope this helped.
Torchie.

what chrome surfaces?
Bumpers etc. double 00 stainless steel wool followed by aluminum foil. Clean with the steel wool then rub the aluminum foil on it.

I agree whith Old Iron. But I use tomato ketchup while working the steel wool. Sounds crazy but the ketchup is a mild acid.Trick they used on a car lot I worked at.

0000 steel or brass wool and oil
is has to be quadruple ought
i use the same stuff on windows as a professional window cleaner.
