Hey all, Im new to rat rods but not new to building cars at all.

I just purchased a 1946 ford 1 ton cab on a custom frame from a family member. he has already chopped the roof and notched the frame. I will continue and make a parallel 4 link rear end with air bags. I have not decided on motor yet but It will likely be a 460 out of a 68 lincoln or a mopar 383. I will likely ask a lot of questions, first one will be how the hell to do parallel leafs in the front with air ride (ill start a thread) hope you enjoy the start of my project!

Hi-dee-Ho neighbour. Welcome to Undead Sleds, from northern Alberta, the Grande Prairie area. I'm quite a fan of that era of Ford truck.

This is my little brother in our '47. I couldn't find a picture of that truck in my shed, fifty three years later.

Welcome from Oregon. Nice start on your project. There are a bunch of different way to work with that front axle, and you will find them in a bunch of the builds here. I am sure someone will send you to the right place. Have fun.
