Hate to hear ya couldn't square the brakes away. Good on the changes tho. I guess I was lucky putting mine in all manual & drums.

Hey skull....photo 101...never catch your own shadow..

local trade school car show tonight, had a blast, they had a man lift, took some aerial pictures.

driving with my helmet and googles on, drove by 3 local PD, never even looked twice, l guess there getting used to my junk.

lots more things to do though, will start the floor/firewall soon. weird driving a car with nothing much between you and the motor. windshield is a must but have to wait for paint first.

Later

LOL....car is looking nice....sounds like you'll have everything squared away soon so drive the bejesus out of it....sponsor? That's kind of cool...:D

award

l went to the local car show & got a award for the Monster[cl

"Pure Potential" is the name of the one l got and it is really cool, a hand made trophy.

so neat some one put in the time to do all 16 awards there today that were handed out.

elma

great show at elma, 275 cars and people around the street legal race cars all day long, they are a big hit, several people talking about building one [;)

there are a couple of roller chassis on craigslist here and it would be cool to see a few more of these on the road, l think that would rock.

pics at the show in elma at early enough to not have crowds around it.

the disc jockey who is doing the Make-A-Wish program has it 90% set up to do a ride along at the 1/4 mile dirt track in June 2016 with the Monster, very exicted about that[cl

now l really have to get my butt in gear to get it completely painted and a seat/interior in her.

back

time to get back on the race car, summer is getting closer and still a bunch of things to do even before the body work begins.

we had to cut the body loose and reposition it, the deck lid and hood were not fitting correctly. other thing that we noticed is where it was the doors need some love to fit better, so we started over.

these are the start of the re-mount, were making the braces stronger and adding more, l learned last summer the body kinda shook and rattled a lot at 8OMPH, so that will also be cured this time.

the cage will get painted all flat back when the welding is done, probably need some touching up after the red is put on the body, but wal-mart flat black is cheap.

build, tear apart, repeat as necessary.[;)

fun

stared grinding on the roof to smooth out the weld lines, still have to weld in the rest of the driver & passenger side drip rails, but any progress at this point is good.

doin' body work ain't one of my favorite pastimes, BUT it's gotta get done and it won't do itself. (like Christine)

work

we started working on the doors and some body work, slow, but it is progress[;) had to pull them off the car to get to the places we need to fix.

chop

my chop's on the race cars we built, non-street-track only, really did not need the finesse l want to achieve on this car, this in my first nice([S) street car chop, yeah l know the 3Oish was shortend but l didn't really want a "show car" look to her, not this one, she has to look nice for the purpose of what we are building it for.

still lots of work to do on the roof like the drip rails and a little bit of warp to take out.

:Dcar's been on the will get back to it list, BACK 0N lT--:D:D:D

been working on her for few week now-- color called swift red for the rest of the car, but experimented on the hood after the swift red was applied , then 2 cans of metal flake red and some clear coat.

gave the hood a rain drop pattern for some reason, 0H well, race car so no big deal..makes it more unique--rest of the body to red will follow soon--
