Yes indeed. I was thinking about it while we're down there and the last time I actually raced a car down there was probably 15 years ago and I was running the exact same engine that's in that model A. My senior year of high school was the last season I ran down there in my Fairlane. It was running that same engine, kind of cool. The force-feed that I put in it is actually for my Fairlane build so I will be looking for another one to place in the coupe after the build off

All ready for the drag strip this weekend!!

You built a good one, young fella. Nice to see you running it at the strip.

Thanks Bob! I'm having fun with it that's for sure. We have some finishing touches to do this winter like in Little interior work and finish up a little bit of stuff on the frame. So next year is going to be a lot of fun

Well thrbrain stopped long enough to dry out the 1/8 mile portion of the track. Ran an 8.9 at 78 mph on a soft launch. Then a 9 at 77.5 on a dead hook launch that resulted in a small wheelie!!

Calcing out the 1/8 to 1/4 we should be in the high 13s. Dropped 3 seconds in 3 runs!!

Now we wrench till next year!!

Looks like you let out on the second pass when it hooked! Double jump!:D Wasn't expecting to leave that hard, were you? :D
Some more track time and fine tuning and it looks like it will be sho nuff fast! [cl[cl[cl

Might want to put some turnouts on the headers, looks like it's smoking the side of the car up a bit....

The launch bogged the car. It hooked way harder that run hahahaha. Yeah more seat time and tuning it will only get better!!

Lots of fun. Here r pics my sister took

yes, very slick bender.

FYI, my NHRA rule book shows cages have to be made from 1-5/8" dia. material.

Your drag strip tech guy probably will be happy to see a cage at all. And I'm sure it will be well built.

Thanks guys. The bender is nice. I know our tubing is under nhra rules, but the car isn't fast enough to require one. More for my safety

Few more pics

Well I got a little time to work on a car tonight. Everything started out great. Finish the X bracing in the back of the car and then headed onto the front hoop which I knew was going to be a little bit of a challenge. Has a couple different angles and a couple twists. Everything look great as you will see in the picture but I transferred a couple inches in one spot and it took it away from another on accident and it won't fit underneath the dash like it's supposed to . So I'm going to take six inches out of the bottom of the leg and add it to the top by the windshield and re Bend it later this week
