ok I have a 1930 ford Tudor sedan.

Im thinking about closing the top, but I dont remember what fits, to weld in.

If I remember it was the center section of a astro van,or a ford winstar ? but I cant remember.

does anyone know? Has anyone closed the top?

Van tops were used for this long before the minivan... get your measurement and go to the local yard and look for anything with a ribbed top... go with what you like.

The top doesn't have to be ribbed. Personally I like 'em smooth.

I welded in a sheet of 18 ga. metal and crowned the top. I planon putting a vinyl top on to look more original. It is in a 1932 Stude 4 door that I plan to make prety slick.

Please don't use a ribbed van roof, they's just ugleee .....
I've used a skin off a 90's Lincoln Town car, nice crown to it, perfect on my 34 and it was about 6' long. Cut it out with a chisel and cordless sabre saw at Pick n Pull for scrap metal price.

If ya want ribs, 59 Chevy wagon the ribs are down and a 62 Chevy wagon ribs are up.
No ribs ? do what ZZ said.
