How to split windshield frame?

I have a 1936 Dodge truck windshield frame. Sprayed on wd, etc to free up screws
at the sides. What do you recommend to help open it up without damaging
the valuable frame itself?

A 50-50 mixture of tranny fluid and acetone is awesome

I am thinking its going to take more than liquid to free up the rusty old frame
Maybe some heat?

This.... don't heat it unless you HAVE TO.

Are you trying to seperate the frame from the glass or is it a swingout windshield that you are trying to get to open?
WD stands for "Water displacer" This product does nothing to free up anything.
You can try PB or The acetone/tranny mix.
Do not heat it as the amount of heat needed to unfreeze the screws will most likely ruin the frame.
If you are trying to get the glass out and can see the screw heads you may have to drill them out.
then retapp with a slightly bigger screw.

Torchie...there is no glass in it.
So to replace the glass the screws need to come out. Then hopefully the frame will
come apart?

Any luck on getting that windshield frame apart?
