Be careful turning on wet roads, the contact patch on a "square sidewall" car tire is much smaller when you are turning than a rounded motorcycle tire. the bike can lean past the edge on the car tire. Good luck and ride safe!
Well I went and put car tire on my bike,205/60/16 general altimax.So far so good.A little road walk but I think I get the air pressure right should be good.
My best friend has well over 150k on car tires on the back of his GL1800's. I was quite skeptical at first but some of the places I have followed him have made be believe that other than a little different "feel" the car tire is superior on heavy touring rigs. Before the switch he had two Dunlop's come apart from the load and heat generated by the speeds he runs.
