I was asked to post some pic's of the trailer I built to haul my bike around, so here it is. It took a little time away from building my Graham, but then again there are about about million things going on in life that take time away from the car. Besides, a little variety is needed once in a while.

Wow that's a neat setup! Diggin' the level drive on.....gotta be a lot safer and easier than going up a ramp or tilt bed. Nice to see some decent size tire/wheels too, I hate seeing someone going down the road at 70 MPH with a trailer on 8 or 10 inch tires spinning at 200 MPH and wondering why they can't keep bearings in them.
Nice trailer! Now get back to work on the Graham. [ddd

How does the axel work? any springs? Is it only an axel stub wielded to the frame on each side? Cool looking and neat idea.

It has short (12 ") trailing arms each side with about 3" of travel when loaded with the bike (which is ~900 lbs!) I used cut down VW Golf coils and a bump stop to prevent bottoming. The axles are princess auto stubs.....considered using torsion stubs but then it would have been a bit wider than I wanted. I was aiming to have a 48" wide deck and still have the track width about the same as the tow vehicle. In hindsight I should have built a small amount of negative camber into the axles - as when it's loaded with the bike on, it has a little bit of positive....just enough to bug me. It doesn't seem to effect tire wear, as I put 4k on it this summer with nothing showing on the tires.
