Candy Rootbeer brown over gold metallic. At least 10 coats and every one hand rubbed. Classic. I agree, why don't more guys lay down paint like that anymore.Now it's all just base/clear and out of the paint booth in an hour.

Because they're all in for the Quick money. There is like two guys in our whole area that will do full complete paint jobs. And the one who is finishing up my crew cab right now has started doing insurance work so we will lose him very quickly. Sad deal

i got a question about lacquer paint jobs. why would someone put 16 gallons of hand rubbed red lacquer paint on a car? i saw pics of the car and it really didn't look that special, just a red car.
