Wow! That's great performance right out of the box. No start up troubles or handling difficulties. I'm very impressed. Does your RED NHRA license work for the Altered?

Thanks Doc. I'm thinking of two things that may have triggered the early shift. It may have spun the tire enough to trigger the rpm switch that fires the shifter solenoid, or I accidentally bumped the manual shift button on the steering wheel.

A playback tach would tell you... so would a data logger. (Sorry, I had to throw that in there.)

Are the two buttons side by side? I have fat fingers (without gloves) and can imagine pressing one when I don't want it to happen. If that's the case, maybe try a button that requires more force or travel to activate... just thinkin' out loud...

Good luck and safe travels to Meltdown!

I have an IHRA top dragster licence so I'm good down to 6 seconds in a centre steer car ( dragster, funny car, or altered ). Hopefully that will satisfy the requirements at Meltdown.

Transbrake is right hand. Shift button is left hand. I think I may have hit the shift button when I moved my hand from the hand brake lever to the steering wheel.

We leave for the Meltdown Drags tomorrow afternoon. Really looking forward to this weekend. And hopefully, they will know who we are after we leave. :D

Here are a couple of pictures of the car at Meltdown. I will post more once I have time to process them.

Fantastic event, although somewhat frustrating for me as I only managed one run without issues to demonstrate what the car is capable of. Looking through the car now to try figure out what went wrong.

It was great to be able to chat with Bob W and Tater. I was also able to connect with several old and new friends during the event.

It was nice to see you again and get a good look at the roadster. You might have been a bit disappointed but I thought it ran well and put on a good show. That blown small block is sure crisp sounding.
Once again the Meltdown Drags was the place to be. Good weather and everyone has the right attitude.

This car is so freakin' cool! I keep thinking to myself, "Wow, this car is just like a real race car." Then realization kicks me in the butt, and reminds me that, This car IS a real race car! Then its like, wow, once again I am reminded that we really have some great car builders on UDS/RRR. How lucky am I to be hangin' out in such good company?

Here's a couple more pictures from Meltdown that have shown up on Facebook. Gives me a bit of a thrill to see other people taking pictures of the car :)
