im thinking of going a different direction with the cab, i found a really nice B model mack cab and doors and grill, extremely reasonable.. it has the aircleaner, stacks and alot of other cool accessories... LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!! KINDA TORN BETWEEN THE FORD AND THE MACK, ive attached some pictures of what a B model looks like, its not the one i bought....

motor moved up 9". and cross braces are tacked in, ready for the transmission mount... :D

I think you couldn't do better than the Mack. Would be a one-of-a-kind for real !
 
Yes i have to say the Mack looks great. And someone need to do something different. Dont get me wrong i love those old Fords too but its cool to see something fresh!
 
im gonna try to get the cab hauled home this coming weekend, its about 3 miles from home, just hard to find the time... had to work on mamma's durango this past weekend, two power window motors. they just dont build em like they used too. ill set it on and get youall some pics..:cool: P.S. the ford cab is for sale, in the parts foreum....:eek:

If I were you, I'd hold on to the Mack regardless. Good B-61 cabs are getting hard to find! Several years ago, I found one here locally and was gonna buy it. I went to pay the guy and as I turned onto his road, a guy passed me with it on a trailer - they sold it right out from under me!!! I've always regretted letting that one slip away. You will too! I know all too well that times are tough, but keep it if you possibly can! It'll make an awesome rat rod! I have a friend who has a "White" semi cab/rat rod about the same year as your Mack.

:cool:looks like im gonna get to keep my rat, at least for now... just had to go find a second job to help out for now...i rebuilt the front end the other day, the oil pan sat way too close to the ground. anybody going to Bowling green KY, NEXT WEEKEND. ALLDAY DRAGSTERS. BEECHBEND PARK, BOWLINGGREEN KY..

Glad to hear your keeping it Junkmagnet! I saw in an earlier post It came from Richmond originally right? I'm from really close by - Berea, actually. Lots of car guys up that way including a couple of cousins of mine in Somerset. Keep up the hard work. That bad ol' truck will come together before you know it.

Going down to e-town monday to pick up my bed sides, having them sheared and broke at modern welding. .i think thats bruces stompin ground:d:d
