The owner of this car spent a lot of money to have a "mustang specialist" do work on this, car. For the most part it looks really good. So why do people have to cut corners on silly things. I found what I believe to be the source of the random clunking noise while i was looking the car over!!

The exhaust pipe was smashed 2 miss the leaf spring. Not sure why it was just not adjusted so it wasn't hitting. Looks like it was a premade kit for this car. So maybe there was no way around it the way it was bent. I'm glad to see it's somewhat of an easy fix and not something major clunking around back there

Its the same guy lol but exhaust isnt his specialty

So it seems.
At the last dealership I painted cars for (Ford/Lincoln) the shop manager had a 64-1/2 Mustang Rag top stored in the shop. Piled inside and all around it was every NOS Ford piece needed to restore it still wrapped in their Blue oval wrappings.
He got hard up for money and told me he would sell it all for $650. Now this was the early 80's mind you, but that was still a deal.
Of course I couldn't beg, borrow or steal the money.LOL
Just one of many that slipped away......

Damn that would have been cool to get. I actually own a 65 fastback with a hypo 289 in it. It was my grandpa's car and it is packed away in storage right now. But it also has all the blue oval wrapped for parts to finish the restoration on it sitting inside of it. I have not unwrapped any of them to see if the pieces are still good but supposedly everything is there. The car was stripped down all the body work was done and it was locked in a primer back in the 80s and it has been stored inside since I believe 82. My grandma passed away in 91 and that was the last time it was touched until about 2 years ago. Hopefully next summer I am able to bring it home and break enough time away to actually get it worked on

Thanks burgeman. I'm excited to get ir out!!

We got some accomplished on Mustang today. Got the original intake off swapped out for the four barrel hey I've got the EFI unit sitting on top of it. We also remove the radiator and the mechanical fan in place of that will be a new aluminum and electric fan setup

So I have question, was it your choice or the customers to go with MSD Atomic fuel injection, and why that brand? I'm gathering information for when I choose the FI for my 440.

I'm interested as well. The guy that I'm helping to bils a 301 with wants to go FI as well.
Does this system require a FI compatible gas tank?

I have used this system helping my dad before.
It works well. The pump it comes with can be mounted inside tank or outside. It can be used as returnless or as a return system. It can also be used in conjunction with there ignition components to control timmimg as needed.
Supports 525 hp. Uses an o2 sensors to control the fuel. If you buy the master kit it comes with everything you need to install!!

If you've had good experiences with the product I say go for it.... There are so many other self learning systems out there that it's crazy anymore... 900 to 1200 bucks is a pretty good deal...JMHO
