Got it out today for some miles!!! It's definitely learning it's now idling we're supposed to and it runs really good down the road. It does die occasionally when you push in the clutch but it starts right back up and they say that's part of his learning process

So far super happy with kit. It runs really well way better than it did before. When you stomp on it it sounds like an old Quadrajet it definitely comes to life. Cruising down the road it's nice smooth acceleration. Also the kit was everything it said it was supposed to be. It had everything in it we needed. Very easy to install. I will definitely be doing one again

I went with the Fitech system. It does a real good job too.

I've herr they are having issues with the newer direct systems. Something about the computer part taking a dump. The older ones are not having issues. If I remember right the changed manufacturing companys or something

Look at all the pretty colors!!!

I agree. There are alot of options. I havnt used but I like the Holley sniper set up.

Have you had any experience with this kit srg?? Sounds like maybe you have??

Sorry it took so long to respond..also sorry if I gave you the impression I had experience on those units... only EFI I have is on my newer stuff... nothing on my old cars... looking at the variety of what's on the market and reading a LOT of articles on them it sounds like something I'd want to try... technology sure has come a long way... of course at a price...

Well we put some miles on the car and it seems to be running really good. But the owner had complained of the clutch making some weird noises and I experienced that about 2 weeks ago. It started screaming at me while my brother-in-law and I were cruising around. Throw out bearing is garbage. The owner did not like in the 3-speed as it was so instead of fixing this one and changing it out later he opted to change it out now. So with a quick visit to CJ Pony parts we have a complete Tremec 5-speed swap package. We're talking everything. From the Driveline to the shifter. I will start on this tomorrow evening

I didn't remember this thread, and was disappointed you weren't working on something like this:

Seriously though that's a good looking Mustang and will be even more enjoyable with the 5 speed. It's amazing how easy swaps like that have become.
