Great shots sc! [cl

Looks like "mission accomplished" to me. I wish you good luck and good fun wherever you go!

.

Thanks Doc. I very much appreciate the sentiment.

I had a lot of fun building this car with input from this group and it is a joy to be able to share it with the group now that it is finished.

My buddy's '56 Chevy some number of years ago. (sc5080 should recognize the car.) I don't know the location, maybe Ashcroft. BC guys???

Dr. C, is that the '56 that got rolled up in a ball?

Nothing wrong with your memory, Bob!

Yes, it's the same car and owner/driver who got loose in the top end "dirt" at Gimli MB...

It went "easy over", chewed the roof skin and some of the roll cage off. Rich wasn't injured and had every intention to repair the car, but decided to hang up his helmet and sold it with most everything needed to do so.

The car came back to SK, Rich picked me up along the way and we delivered the basket case to the new owner. We got to know the new guy and I did some fabrication to aid in the resurrection... anyhow, the car is repaired, alive and well!

My photo from last year...

You're right Doc. Know the car and the driver well. Rich was in Saskatoon last weekend and took a lot of photos that he posted on Facebook. Photography seems to be his newest passion.

Rich moved back here and we had a 6 hour visit/discussion a couple weeks back. :D

Rich has rediscovered his passion for photography. He has deep roots in the field and hasn't forgotten what he knew 40+ years ago. (The man has a memory like an elephant.) Anyhow, he recently invested in new-fangled digital gear, learned the new technology and he fingered it out from there. I believe he's found life after racing and I expect his work will only get better.

PM on the way, sc.
