Lookin' good & I feel your pain about inspectors & city idiots! Had my fill of them when I lived in Houston & moved here where the only inspection is for your septic! Looks like things will be getting back to normal shortly! [cl[cl[cl

Just wondering OI, did you get something storm proof? What can a house like that handle? Most buildings can stand a bunch of wind but debris not so much... I`m glad we don`t have tornados like that.

Is there such a thing as a tornado-proof house? I'm guessing no, unless you build it in the ground out of concrete.

I do and forgot to include them
32" walls on top of a 12" footing. It has a 44" crawl space with foundation sealer and drain pipe all the way around the footing that drains to daylight.
All the area behind the house will be sloped away and up from the house then a diversion will be formed at the top to control the water drain off to go around the house.
Looks like we'll be in around the middle to end of October.

We're very fortunate to have been able to buy this 20 acre piece sitting at the junction of two creeks.
I bought this place from an old farmer on a handshake 34 years ago when I was 34.

Have a little more done.
They drilled the well last week 160 feet of casing 290 feet deep which yielded 500 gallon a minute
Driller said he has never drilled a well that done that.

Tada
Moving day [cl[cl[cl
Still have to get the garage and front porch built but, the framers can't get to it till third week of January.
I'll get some pics as we go thru the day
