Is there a need for a panhard bar in that setup? just wondering

Nope. It's triangulated and the springs wouldn't let it move sideways anyhow. Right off, I'm not sure that's a good idea to triangulate with leaf springs - I'd want to seriously evaluate stresses on them.

Does that even need to be triangulated using leafs like that?
 
That makes sense to me. My concern was the spring bushings wouldn't give enough and cause binding or stress - WB says it works though.

Darrell Zipp's shop used to be a few miles from my place, the Orange Zipper car, belongs to a friend of mine who used to work for Darrell. Now he has his own shop. The white one is a local guy too.
Darrell sold the business a few years back, but he has a lot of history locally.

He always turned out some nice cars, and the new guys are using his old plans.
