Did a little bit of racing back around 1980.
I never liked abusing my cars doing that.

A *real* tin magnet
We had a quarter mile marked off out side of town a ways and could see cars coming for a mile each way. Any kid worth his salt knew what his car would do in the 1/4, and probably his family's car, maybe even his granny's car. Usually not more than 3-4 races and it was over so no time for the local cops to get there.
