I picked this up from a friend a few months back and finally dragged it home to begin the build. ;)
The 47 Dodge WD15 body and bed are mounted on a S10 frame… Plans are to drop in a Carbureted '99 Chevy 305 with a thumper cam backed with a Turbo 400 trans. As can be seen from the pics, the floor is gone and the P.O. had rigged some motor mounts that would not work for me. A proper set of V8 swap motor mounts from Trans-Dapt via Jegs are due to arrive tomorrow.
I'm in the midst of re-working a '65 Short stepper Chevy, and this Rat is a side project that I just had the need to do… I plan on this being a rather quick build as compared to the 65 that is pushing 2 years thanks to a bent frame issue...

Enjoy the pics and feel free to comment...[cl

The funky flat steel motor mount on the pass side cut off, the D/S unbolted…
The Pedal car body on the wagon was thrown in the deal…:D
The bullet holes in the back of the cab are staying...

Looking at those pics, I don't think I would trust any of the previous owners "work". I would seriously look at anything he touched.

Good luck with the build. I'm building a Dodge too.

Thanx

Thanx Guyz!!!:D

P.O. Welded the cab to the frame and bolted the bed on…[S
Gonna cut the cab loose and fab some bolt-on mounts...[;)
Plans for the upcoming weekend is to get the motor and trans mocked up in frame in order to mock-up steering setup and Brake pedal and booster mount…:) …as well as look at how to wet-up the floor frame...

got a cool look to it, good luck fixing the previous owners work

I can see it's potential. Have fun and good luck .
I'm in the process of doing a resto mod on one right now.
I really love this body style.

Update

Thanks for looking in Guyz!!! :D

The Motor Mounts showed today...

Having done the S-10 frame swap and owning a V-8 S-10, I don't think those mounts will work for you if you plan to put them in the "stock" location. For the S-10 V8 you need to move the engine forward and I think you'll need to move yours back. I'm interested to see how they work for you though.

This is going to be a cool truck!

My brother had a '39 Dodge on an S-10 frame.
