very very nice!!!

Suicide setup on the frontend looks really good. I like the full grill behind it... stance really is right, nice job on this one.

Thank you very much guys, I appreciate it. I am so glad the proportions and stance came out so well...that is one of my biggest pet peeves! There are a couple of things I need to adjust, one being the tie rod. Unfortunately, I can't see a way to get the tie rod behind the axle. I haven't studied it too closely yet, but I may be able to fab up some lowered steering arms that will clear the chassis.

I got pretty far on my seat mounts today. They are basically done, just need to prime them and decide exactly where I want to mount them. Wish I had my other seat.

Wow time flies! Been pluggin' away on the truck.

I couldn't find a brake pedal set up that I liked so I made one. I mounted the gas pedal and brake pedal to an 1/8" plate, then bolted it to the firewall. Of course, the firewall was too flimsy so I added a 1" x 1" crossmember under/behind the dash, then ran 3/8" round struts from the crossmember to the plate. Way sturdy now.

I couldn't find any shock/headlight mounts that would work so I made my own. I wanted my headlights really low so I found a pair of really short shocks and made the mounts accordingly. I know...they look like Speedway mounts, but mine are a lot shorter and a lot better, in my humble opinion. :D

I intended to mount the radiator in the bed but there simply wasn't enough space. So, I stole an idea from a local guy and stuffed the radiator under the engine. I'll build a little shroud to help direct air and to protect the radiator later.

So, currently I am working on my steering. I built a mount for the box which took a little head scratching. This mount has angles every which way to accommodate the chassis kick up and the angled base of the box.

You've been hard at it, this ride looks GREAT!

Your fab work looks great! I like the radiator location [dr

Thank you Gentlemen, I appreciate it.

It's been a while since I've been here and even longer since I've posted. I am still chipping away at the '40. Since the last post, I've been designing, head-scratching, fabbing, painting parts and lately I've been disassembling and getting ready for chassis and body paint. I fabbed a steering column, got the steering linkage built/installed, installed the ebrake, rebuilt a bit of the rear of the chassis, built a battery box and on and on. The truck is just about stripped down to the chassis now. I've been really busy elsewhere lately so the '40 hasn't received much attention, but I am back after it tomorrow. Yeah, I am still working on it... I am easily distracted.
