Okay, I have read all the various rants about true suede black paint and Blitz Black. And I have to admit I am even more confused than before.

All I want to know is:
1. Is the paint easy to lay down? And doe it require a top coat?
2. Is it really a lasting suede look?
3. How well does it weather?
4. Finally if this stuff is really **** -what is an affordable (non-show) alternative?

Help!

I just posted on the other black paint thread. I bought my paint at Tractor Supply and sprayed it with a cheap Harbor Freight gun.
I think I spent less than $100 for the complete job including - paint, enamel hardner, enamel reducer, masking tape, sandpaper and laquer thinner to clean the gun.
You can PM me if you`d like and I can walk you through all the small stuff.
I really recommend spraying vs. roller. I`ll admit, I`ve never tried the roller thing, but spraying is so easy.

One more thing --- I added enamel hardener in my topcoat and noticed that the finish has more "sheen" than inside the bed, where I didn`t use hardener. I think it definately gives it more gloss, so if you want a flatter appearance, don`t add the hardener.
