Tomorrow the tranny mount.
I contacted the engine builder today and I'm gonna take the Nailhead in for a complete rebuild Wednesday. It'll take a couple weeks to get it back [dr

Well, I'm gonna have to find different front wheels.
The two on the front of my build are 14" and I wasn't thinking but, they won't fit over the brake calipers :(
They are 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern.

Old iron, if you wanna keep your 14s, try using some 5/16th spacers and grind the high spots on the calipers down. That's what I had to do to get my 14s to fit over my brake setup.
I'll look at trying that today. I either want to keep the 14's or get 15's like them.

If you're using gm calipers, there's a lot of extra meat on them. What you can also do, which I didn't, is mark the inside of the wheel with a grease pencil and spin it to see just where the caliper is hitting te wheel.
Right on, I'll do that tomorrow. Had to do a repair job on a semi car hauler today.[;)[;) [;)

Great looking build OI.
My build originally planned for a nailhead. I have a 58-364 that needs a complete rebuild.
Those engines are just too pretty to put under a hood. I am saving mine for the time that I build a T-bucket.
Torchie.

Changed the Saginaw out to a super t10 Borg warner with a Hurst shifter

I thought I would show how I made the tranny and driveshaft tunnel
I set the press brake to make a very shallow bend, held the foot pedal down for continuous run and as the upper die moved up I'd move the plate about 1/4" each time to create this arch. Took about 2 minutes.

This was the results

Tomorrow may just be a cleanup day, we'll see.
