This is a sexy set of headers....you guys think a muffler like this can do anything? I love the whole set up. I wanted to run stacks but now I donknow.

That big race muffler is doing very little to quiet it down. If you plan to put some miles on, I recommend having the exhaust exit behind the driver. It makes a huge difference for both noise and fumes.

Around here we get the whole white tail deer stuck in the grille.

I'll throw a "rat" Vicky into the mix. From Back to the 50's a few years ago.

Makes sense snopro... I'm sure your right. I saw something pretty cool with an exit at the cab corner. I'm thinking this might be for me versus the stacks.

On my 29 Essex I made side pipes and put and auger baffle in them it worked great for most cruising, but was a little loud for longer trips.

Any pipes that exit close to the cab gives a good sound till ya hit the road on a trip longer than 10 miles.
This was the two times I made these exhausts, that exit in front of the cab with auger baffles in them, they got replaced with mufflers and an exit out the back pipes so I could listen to the jukebox in the cab and talking to someone without saying huh all the time.

The pipes on my coupe were really loud but I love it that way... but... I also wore ear plugs! I also turned the tips at a 45 degree angle to the ground to cut down on fumes in the cockpit! [ddd

I suppose my original idea of stacks would get the noise away from me old ears.

I've always liked this and my rear end will be very close to the same as the red one....I've always liked the black one as well.

I guess I'm undecided yet....

I like checking out whats new and trending at the Rat Rod shows once in a while. There are some really cool well built rides in this video (RPU @ 11:50) but there is some scary crap that I hope is not legal on the road.

Yea the open floors and steel buckets cant be too much fun on the road, as well as some of the mechanics on these things, but it is some crazy S. I'm all for road worthyness, and safety, big money looks comes last.
