Tailgunner!!!

I was thinking about getting a pin-up girl or something hand painted on the back of the B-17. but then I decided it wouldn't be a bomber if it didn't have a tailgunner....so I hired a sign painter to put it to life...we went over a few things and this is what we came up with...looks Sick!!!...I wasn't to sure at first but she did an amazing job with one shot enamel and a brush....finishes it off and I have never seen it done before...Awesome![cl

B-17 Flying around all summer

I went back on my old post and see I didn't really finish the post....The B-17 was finally finished just before Superrun (Western Canadian Nationals)in Saskatoon where it made it's Finished debut..It was honoured with a top 10 award..Nice!...I did a few shows and runs through out the summer and it was a blast to drive and gathered crowds wherever it went. Nice to see all my efforts were appreciated...I took it to Radium B.C. in the fall to there big show of over a 1000 cars and it took a top 10 there as well....super cool...My plan is to take it to Rat City Rukkus in Vegas in the spring..should be a blast...I put about 5000 miles on it this past summer and had no issues so I am quite pleased with the way everything turned out...Thanks for following my build and Thank you for the comments and compliments..They are greatly appreciated ...here's a few pics of the final result and here is a couple of youtube links if you are interested in

Thanks Crank...Terry from CHR did post a couple of pics in the Christmas issue and he also did tell me that he wanted to do a feature on the B-17 a couple of times over the past summer but he never did show up with his camera...so who knows..maybe next year if I see him. He did one on the 32 pickup and maybe he thinks I have had my 15 min. of fame...I'm not going to lose any sleep over it and if it happens...Bonus!...Do you know when Majestics show is in the spring...I may head down your way with it then as long as it doesn't clash with my Vegas trip.
