hey Sam Fear

Measured the 4 corners of the bed on the garage floor since it's pretty level.
Yes we are off a bit. Will shim it all after I paint and move the bed back in place.

Well, since you did some body work and primed everything...

Why stop there? I'd plow along and paint it.

You're past the point of rust, and distressing it to give the appearance of rust is just phony in my opinion...considering the amount of time and work you've invested already.

My .02:rolleyes:

These trucks have a real nice flow to the curve in the roof. Adding that 2 inches of metal would make it a bondo slappers dream come true.

Relief cutting and getting the post to fit up was in my opinion allot easier, less work, less welding, less bondo.

I am with Mr. Crown. Faux patina is like laminate flooring. Looks like wood, but it is still fake. I actually did my shovelhead hd like this and everyone loved it - except me. I flat blacked it first chance I got and covered that fake stuff up...

Plan is to paint it satin black. I posted some pics in another thread called Doing a little each day. Grill, suspension and center caps all painted.

Need to remove bed to slide back to I have a better shot at the back of cab and front of bed when painting. Not in a big hurry. WIll be ready for Spring.

Thanks

Getting rid of that green and going RED red made the suspension in front POP.

Black makes the firewall POP too.

Herculiner should be ready to go tomorrow, so I will re-pipe the gas tank and set it in the bed tomorrow.

Wednesday the bed goes back on.

Got my headers painted white. ANd my buddy the pin-striper is set to come over Sunday to lay some red and white lines

Any ideas for trim around the front window? We caulked the glass in and got rid of the original trim. Went looking for 1/2 BLACK body side moulding that are thin. Figured I could bend around the corners with the help of my heat gun.

Thanks Lungs

Pic of bed, lights, plate, and drag plate on.

That's all I planned on doing today.

Bed goes back on tomorrow.

More progress

Painted the door handles and installed the headers.

Also found that as a prism ya don't need one of those ones mounted on your dash. Check out last pic of air cleaner nut. Glass door knob reflects the lights perfect.
