Do a search for 'new process 435' and start reading.......IIRC, the 435 starts life in 1962 in the Dodge.

i been reading all about everything and anything pertaining to the np435 but what my tag says for two weeks.
no such thing as a DL 86 B
thats why i finally asked here[S
BTW the tag is clearly stamped and easy to read

Could be because it's military spec , Billy. That may be their markings on the tag. Just a guess on my part.

There are a number of suppliers for parts and replacement units and my thought was simply go to one, or all, of them for help since it is their business... If the tag data is important they should have the details at hand.
The folks at All State Gear helped me out some time ago with a Getrag issue and were nice to talk with.
