Under dash brakes

Been working on my under dash brakes.

As usual, I'm not satisfied with what's out there that fits within my budget. And I'm also not willing to fork out $500+ for one that may not even fit under my cowl.

So I made one that fits the dimensions of my car.
Works real smooth. 4:1 ratio for power brakes.

This is the unit I bought for my 33 and my 48

My dash will eventually have a pad more or less. A thin fiberglass copy of the dash, covered with something that has a texture.

So underneath the pad, I'll have a decent sized opening to get to stuff.

Don's builds have been a huge inspiration for me. I've read through everything I can find. I know he and his son have used Kugel units.

I looked at Kugel, ECI, Scott's Rods, those ebay ones, ect.

Just felt like making my own to fit my car.

Looks great! I say if you have the time and resources, and you WANT to do it, build it!

Is that a stripper bolt you are using for a pivot?

Yep. And Derlin bushings.

I made my own, 2500 miles into it not an issue. I used gm pedal bushings and coated steel pivot bushing used in offroad racing suspension.
