Mississippi Queen - great song!

When my wife said "I like music that hurt to listen to", she didn't mean metal and thrash, she meant stuff like Mars Volta: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qESwh4TR_KQ
They broke up and I haven't found anything to replace 'em. Their music goes well with grinding metal. :D

My wife turned me onto Post Modern Jukebox recently. I'd heard 'em before, but didn't pay much attention. They feature a lot of different singers and remake new stuff into old 20's-60's style. Their version of Radiohead's Creep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3lF2qEA2cw

Love that Western Canadian church music, Dr. C. Good thing those boys spill more than they drink.:D

Ah yes, Leslie West and Felix Papalardi, Timeless

1st Rock concert I ever saw in 1974. On the North Side of Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom(Brawlroom). My friends an I are 16.

Nugent had just left the Amboy Dukes and he was an opening act. Mountain proceeds to play every song they ever recorded, cover songs and I think they even made up a few songs, on the 3rd Encore the place goes black and N. D. Smart starts smacking that Cow Bell. The crowd is pounding the folding chairs to the floor in rhythm with the cow bell. The West starts walling on guitar. The place goes wild. I remember thinking….Rock & Roll is COOL.:cool::cool:

Here's West playing with another favorite of mine Johnny Winter:

I'm an A.D.D. red headed Scotch / Italian former Marine who is a hard charger and a slow learner so metal is my go to music... but my collection is actually very diverse. At any time in my shop you can go from Ministry to Nine Inch Nails to piano concertos then into Celtic folk music, Muddy Waters and back to Pantera or Black Sabbath...[cl
