Model A tech tips needed

First of all, anyone have a tip for removing door hinge pins? I thought it'd be as simple as driving the pin up (through the hinge) with a punch and hammer, but apparently not. Am I missing something?

Secondly, what's the best way to remove a rusty windshield frame from the windshield header (hinge)? I actually have two different headers and on one of them the windshield frame slid right out no problem. On the other one, only the upper part of the windshield frame (the part that goes in the hinge) is present. And this is the one that is stuck, of course. Since I don't need this piece of windshield frame, I beat on it pretty good to see if I could break it loose inside the hinge but it still won't budge. Any suggestions?

The best trick I have found to getting anything rusty loose is to put a torch to it till its cherry red.

Then it will slide out like butter.
