Found an old set of aluminum slots on cl. 2 15x8 and 2 15x10. $300 or trade. Might be cutting out my rear wheelwells this week. Just waiting on a reply with the backspace. I think 4 inch b/s is the max on rear for clearance of the leafs and frame but please correct me if im wrong. My factory wheels are 3 3/4 or 5/8

Welded up my free gas tank this week. All the interior im going to have is a front seat. How stupid is it to mount the tank right behind the drivers seat? The trunk is open to the seating area anyway so I'm going to get fumes no matter what. not running a heater and more than likely wont ever have the windows rolled up while driving. Ive had several ford trucks with the tank behind the seat.

Hey ya gota do what ya gota do [cl
My sprint us so chopped up it won't fit any where else [;) and i don't have any windows to roll up.
Vent it outside and all is good.
And yes i'm an old ford guy with a lot of miles in front of a gas storage unit:eek:
Have fun with it :D

The guys i work with don't get rat rods, pretty sure they dont know what one is. Thank god you guys are here.

Sold a junk explorer today, going to rural king tomorrow and getting my 6 volt battery. $39.99. Might get lucky and get a good one.

I used an 8 volt battery in my 51 Plymouth. Works better, and doesn't cause any issues.

I used one of those on an old Jeep with a 6 volt system without problems too. I don't think I've seen an 8 volt around here in years...

Alot of people trash the rural king batteries but no more than I'll be using it it should last a couple years. has a 12 month replacement warranty.

The 6 volt rural king battery worked like a charm. everything seems to be working, dont like the slow crank though, but fires right up. Temporarily mounted the gas tank and bled the brakes to take her for a spin. now the back wheels wont move. gonna tear her down and see why after work tomorrow if I'm not too tired.

Nice. Brings back memories of years gone bye. My first car, at 16, was a brown 53 chevy 210, 3 on the tree. Because it was my first car I miss it.

Mine is orginally brown with a white top. I know how you feel about thinking of cars youve had, thats why no matter how frustrated with my car i get or broke i become, I'll never part with this one.

My brake hoses came in today, autozone, $33 for all 3 but im working so many hours i dont have any time to change them. Working in new haven west virginia tomorrow and wont be home till around 7. Eat, shower and bed by 10. 20 more years and i can retire!

The wife ordered me a pair of peep mirrors for my birthday. One more thing to mark off the list. Maybe Christmas I'll get my 15x10s for the rear.
