Back before WWII in East Los Angeles, there was a group of early rodders who were building what they called "roadsters" out of a bunch of scrapyard parts on modified Model A frames.

History repeating itself!

Seems like the "rat rod" trend is a throwback to those old days when one had to be clever about putting cars together. Kinda like early hot-rodding reborn! Watch some of the old '50s and '60s movies and then what is happening today, and not much has changed except for more modern parts to work with, and more tattoos and body piercings. LOL

And more silly stuff like sawblades and cowskulls, plus the cobwebs, skulls ect.

I did try and stay true to the spirit of those builds, using what you have and making it fit, even though I do have disc brakes and radial tires...and a 5 speed.
