Well I was having doubts I could pull this off at first, but so far so good. But there is plenty that could still go wrong. Been doing remodel work for the father in-law so haven’t had a lot of time on this but I hope to be back on it next week. The good is I have a couple different guys eye balling the cab now so things are looking promising.

No one get their hopes up yet

Doing some cab corner on a cab and though it would be cool to post a couple side by side pics.

Thing are picking up

It is raining Chevy cabs around the shop. Got my 49 Chevy cab on the back burner (thinking on a couple ideas), found a parts cab (get it next weekend) for some sheet metal to fix some spots in my cab and some metal for a cab that showed up today. Finally started the cab corners on the 48 Chevy cab that was dropped off a couple weeks ago. And pick up a yamerhammer 250 titled and running street bike for a price to good to pass up, don’t think for a moment it will stay stock, but that’s down the road a bit.

put a solid tail on the yammy and a smaller seat, maybe new bars, rid the snot out of it!

Hardtail = painful terrible ride, unless you live in some spectacular place with nice smooth roads...

Nothing to spectacular around here, but we do have some descent roads.

Update on Ford bed

Well the ford bed I did back on page 5 found it's way home, So I'm helping with getting it back on. Got to raise the bed up a 1" to line up the body lines and bolt it down.

This truck started out as a cab and chassis utility truck for the town of Leadville CO.

That bed came out great! Looks like it was a lot of work!

Always nice to have a forklift to move things around, lucky!

Better yet it is nice to have a friend with a forklift and has no where to store it. Yep that bed came a long way.

Got one more out the door today, did the cab mounts and now it is gone.

Last 5 pics are of the parts cab I'm trading for some welding, I need the upper tin for a couple cabs. Side note It's was not my work on this cab.

Yep DR bar clamp are the best

On to the other Chevy. Got the corner opened up, replaced the back panel (had to do some hammer work to get the shape) got it all finish rolled it over on it back and remembered I forgot a pic of it done. Did a couple minutes of crack begone.

Now on to the front corners.

Front cab corner, had to rebuild the bottom 3" completely and got the new skin on. Doubled up on the weep holes.

Last couple days

Fixed the vent door hinge and now works like a charm. Got the other side front corner. Replacing windshield corners, Just have one side to clean up.

Nope. Easy to follow Mike. You're saving old tin every day. And doing a nice job of it.

Great Job!!! Everything looks great Mike. The drive train is ready. Brakes are done. Ready to start putting the 25 year project back together. Thanks for introducing me to this site.
