Not wanting to drop the axle from my 1950 Chevy pickup, I built a field press frame to press out the King Pin from the Spindle. It worked well, however I did apply heat to the axle boss (hand propane tank) to aid in the King Pin removal. The Pin was froze in pretty solid. As you can see I have to replace the spindle and King Pin. On a truck this old, with any moving parts expect wear and problems.

Great concept.

I can see some revisions that would make it more complicated, expensive, and easier to use. Then there is the different bolt pattern spindle thing to sort out, to make it universal.
