Puts Nitro on his Cheerios
Ok everyone,
A friend of mine just picked up a '61 Falcon wagon with a 170 6 and a three speed. The car ran but not very well so I went to take a look. Well I seen that the points were shot and way out of gap so I say too him do a tune up and go from there (points, rotor, cap etc) he did the tune and now there is no spark .I went over there last night too help out.The points were gaped wrong so I regaped um at 0.0016 checked what fuses it has and the coil all is good but still no spark.
The new points have a hole on one side of the conntacs and the old ones do not.the parts store said that the hole was a breather hole,im not too sure on that but it's been a long time since I've messed with points.
So any input on way the loss of spark would be great.Thanks...
