Built the zoomies this afternoon. I like the look, but I think they stick out the sides to far. I can shoot them in if I want to, just have to add to the bracket on the frame alittle. Or I can tip the mounts down just a little. They are now just alittle but I could tip then some more

Let me know what you guys think

I think they stick out a little too far.

I agree, and after cleaning up my work area I found the piece of flat strap I wanted to mount them with which was 2 in wide instead of an inch like the stuff I used. So if I would have used the right stuff they would have been pulled in another inch and a quarter or so. Easy fix I will just weld the new plate underneath the original mounting plate and redrill my holes

So my automotive add kicked in and I couldn't leave the pipes alone. I pulled them in 1 1/4". First pic is before the rest are after. Looks better, might need to be shorter[S

It looks better for sure!

To me the radius of the bend looks too big, at least the way it's mounted. Just visually it's not 100% to me.

But it's your build, and depends what kind of look you're going for. I found a couple cars with zoomies that have a good look to me.

I agree I think they're too long also. The band is pretty tight that is not exhaust pipe I made those bends on our conduit Bender at work. That's why I thought if I moved my brace down a couple inches and shorten them up so they just kind of tucked out and kicked up a little bit they would look better

Ah I follow you now. That might give a better look.

So tonight I template new full floor boards. The old floor board was just in the very front where your feet sit, it was made of a road sign and was not removable. The steering shaft was permanently mounted mounted through a hole in the middle and it couldn't be removed. Upon templating the floor, my non stop project creating brain started wondering. Now I'm thinking it need a full floor plan. The back tires are really close and I'm thinking fender wells would look really cool and stop rocks from being g bounced around in the body.

What do you guys think? To far? Or worth it? I like building stuff maybe alittle to much!!:D

It would be good to have a toe board right behind the steering arms, baybe even a dash that goes all the way up to the body :)

Ypur feet go all the way up to the front of the body. So they sit in between the tires. That's another reason I thought inner fenders might be a good idea

Do it. Full floor boards and wheel wells. If you don't do it now. You will do it later. So get it over with.
I had a 57 Plymouth station wagon that had road signs for floor boards. [ddd
