Houston, we have separation

the body and frame are separated[cl

next the front 1/2 goes out front to get mocked up.

went and borrowed a winch to help lift the body 1/2's on & off.

when l set the 2 halves on the chassis this week, the plan is to bolt the roof together and that will get it real close to the ''look'' were going for.

progress today

moved the front half out front.

big bummer, the windshields was so brittle they broke..but.. better to do it now then after the car is done.

besides, l was thinking of putting in a new piece of safety glass or 3/8 piece of lexan just to be safe.

on the bright side, l can get to the bolts to remove the dash.

sliden'

best thing l found that moves stuff around easily.....old hoods & a tractor:D

l have 3 ford truck hoods and a 1969 nova hood that were junk, so being the Eco friendly rodder l am,,, reuse, recycle and return.

I like it, looks cool with the longer front, I'm waiting to see how you incorporate the angled rear section in front of the rear window into the door.

QT filler

''Dirtyrat; I'm waiting to see how you incorporate the angled rear section in front of the rear window into the door.''

the plan is cut the rear door to fit the hole, weld it in and if there is a little window, use the chrome from the rear window frames.

l don't have photshop on my dinosaur of a computer, if someone could do that it, l'd appreciate it.

l like it

thank you cranky. l really like that look[cl

l may do that if l can make the door open.

l may just end up with a little opera window.

Pay great attention to where you place the rear wheels - that's what got Cosmic12 with his first 'Puzzle'. I suggest looking at fenderless VW's for ideas - same basic form in the rear.

thanks sam. thinking of tucking them up next to the door.
what do you think?

hoping to get the chassis/body mated soon,
torches are full and l am ready to rock on the firewall tomorrow.

I think the back window is too rotated downward compared to the door glass on the photoshop... I think it would look best with the bottoms being level and at the same height to one another. But I like the direction a lot!

mock up on chassis.

real rough idea of where were headed.

got the firewall cut out and did some mock up today.

still going to have to move the front half about a foot toward the rear so the firewall sits correctly,,,

just a little more trimming and it should fit 0K.

the trailer need redecked so we removed the chassis the easy way, drag it off:D
