Well I am starting slowly on my 36 ford have it posted for sale but hoping I won't have to sell it.

The plan for it is a broken channel, 4" chop, and a 496 stroker!!!

Doin it in kind of an early 60's style

I am going to run an original 36 ford frame boxed and reinforced all the suspension will be new but run in the stock locations

Color is gonna be an acid rain yellow with watson style scallops in silver the frame will be a metallic silver

I like the sound of your build plans. Scallop paint jobs can really make a car stand out if done correctly. My 62 Impala will probably get a subtle scallop paint job.

No luckydevil13, for the love of god don't name the build, next thing you know you will have your own tv show and everyone will be taking shots at you:rolleyes: LOL goodluck on the build, can't wait to see what you do with this one. [P

Thanx old man Dave!!! Yeah I have always dug the scallop paints jobs of the 50' n 60's :)

No not yet with any speed holes thats' just the stock frame right now ;)

I know but I thought it was appropriate for the wild look I am givin it and the name of the paint color LOL And I will try to kepep up with pics as I go this time too :)

Ok so I got the new frame rails made and welded up but I have a question for you guys - I have the frame bolted down to a stand a buddy made and I have 2 bars bracing across the frame do you think I am safe to cut the X member out of the frame so as I can finish boxing the rails?

I think I would x-brace the pieces you welded across the frame, but I am over kill on that...

Thanx Dirty Rat I was thinkin about doing the same thing :)

These frames are usually clamped to a frame table to keep them stable. Don't
want to take a shortcut at this point and cause yourself some grief. The rails can warp drastically.

Yeah I wish I had a frame table Earthman :) it would make life a little easier :)

looking good ![cl

Thanx Jammersspeed!! Wanna get it finished up so I can start on other stuff and get it on wheels
