Bonneville 2016

Anybody else besides Cornfield customs, and myself headed to the big flat spot this year?

I was going to make a run for it again this year but just too busy and too broke. Hope it isn't under water again.

Looking great so far, and lots of the go fast cars signed up to run.

It's on my bucket list, but it may be a while before I can make it.

I am planning on being there as a spectator 1 day mid-week. First time for me and really jacked for it!

keep an 'eye' open for "the worlds fastest mini ,, from down-under. see my other post .. this lil local car will be screaming !!!

Earlier in speed week is better than later in the week. Lots of broken parts from running cars that hard. Lots of folks just go home after they tear there car up.

Early in the week, the runs are almost non-stop. Later in the week, there are breaks in the action. Also, the spectator "circus" is mainly Sat and Sun.

That said, there are a couple of streamliners that are supposedly shooting for 500 mph this year and may try to sneak up on running that fast,

I love SpeedWeek and wish I was going again this year. I planned to take my daughter last year, but that didn't work out. As crappy as the salt was last year, I didn't even attempt to save money to try again this year.

One of these days I'll make my way down there. Along with SEMA, the Nevada shows, and a few other further trips.

23crate, I spoke with one of these guys today. Super nice guy! My daughter loves Minis and he took a picture of her and I by the car. She was pumped! They had set a record in one class and were working on another.
