I saw an article on this and it didn't look too difficult so I gave it a try. Saved at least 50% from buying a new one and you can build this exact to your application. I'm going to notch in some cups since I'm running airbags, but you could really take it any direction you want. I used my handy new plasma cutter but a cutoff wheel would work fine. Lots of measuring to keep everything centered but I still knocked it out in a day or so. My phone only lets me post one pic at a time so bare with me...

I started with 4" square tubing but I wanted mine taller to help hide the bags. You could probably be fine with 4"x2" or 4x3.

The 5" cups should add some extra support as well. Hopefully it looks better than some bags hanging out.

I haven't had time to work finish it up yet, but ill get some more pics up of the finished product this week sometime.
