I like it. My build thread would be really boring. I'd change the windshield, get the paint off the side windows, maybe fix the seat, and drive it.

Lights...

Thanks guys, I talked to the owner and it so far sounds like he wants to keep the truck like it is, just remove some dents... and patch the floors and doors and of course get it running [cl

Looks like I will maybe get under the hood soon to see what we have to work with, its currently covered in Christmas lights!

Time for the RRR Bunch to Pitch in

All right guys....

Got under the hood of the 1950 Chevy 3600, teh owner said it was rebuilt sometime ago, which I can tell because thte motor is clean for not being cleaned up which brings me to my next question.....

What are your thought about rebuilding the carb pictured here?

I've not messed with one of these before...[S

Fairly simple to rebuild. Kits aren't that expensive plus you won't have to mess
with making the linkage and the gas lines work for a different carb.
Nice to see that they didn't spare the tape when they painted the engine. [cl
Torchie.

I'd make sure she's not seized, change the oil, hook it up to some fresh gas with a fresh battery and give her a crank. I bet it can be made run within a hour. I would get it running and then address carb issues and such as needed. I've had motors that have set for decades and didn't need anything but a good battery. I had a 53 Chevy from New Mexico that had set for about 15 years. A hot battery and a hot wire to the coil and she was up and running off of the old gas. Took about 20 minutes and I drove it down the road.

Ok, noted, thanks guys, I'll get a battery and see what the old Blue Wonder will do....

Should I look for a number on the carb to find a rebuild kit if that's what it's needed?

I bet it'll run! Unless it's been changed, that's probably a Rochester B carb. You might find a brass tag attached under one of the cap screws...
