Not a car but great fun

This not about a car but still Gas/Oil/ nuts n bolts and a whole lotta fun.
My younger brother just recently got this and I finally got my turn in the front seat. It is a homebuilt and just so much fun. Thought maybe you guys might like a small change of subject matter, if it doesn't belong then Mods please delete it.

Whats it got for a power plant?

I always thought the coolest planes ever built were the Gee Bee racers. If they aren't a hot rod I don't know what is.

It is great fun. The plane is a Acro Sport 2 it has a 185 Lycombing flat 4. My family has always been into planes. My Dad built 2 Steen SkyBolts 2 place in line open cockpit fully aerobatic biplanes and a 2/3s replica P51 Mustang all sold off years ago but growing up watching them being built was really something. My brother is the only one of us to actually get a plane and has made my Dad a very proud father to finally have a plane back in the family.

So cool!! What kit was the 2/3 P51? Power? If I ever won the lottery, one of the first things I'd do is buy a P51 and learn to fly.

They are a nice looking airplane. I built and flew an open cockpit Pietenpol and had a blast. By the looks of the airspeed, your cruising about 40 MPH faster than I did. It's been about 12 years since I flew as pilot-in-command and I have to say, I do miss it from time to time.

Wish I still had my Cessna 182....love to fly and I've rented one occasionally but not in the last couple of years....expensive hobby but what isn't.. Very cool that the family is into flying....

I would love to have one of those!!! I haven't been in a plane in a long time, sure wouldnt mind a spin.
