Hey guys, I appreciate the care! But you know I haven't followed the "rules" since the heart attack...probably the only reason I'm still around 4 years later. I'll keep pushing! I've told all my friends if they see me fall out, reach down and finish the deal or walk away and let me go on my own.

Have to lower the radiator in the frame a couple inches to make the grill shell even close to the cowl! Also have to widen the grill shell to fit my big block Walker radiator. Did a lil more work on the alligator too!

Very productive day, finish up the Impala it went home, finished up the floorboards in the 442 it went home. Got the steering done and the floor built to hold a fuse box and computer for the go t. I also had time to pull my Fairlane in and tear the rear end out of it for final welding cleaning and undercoating

Default Last weekend

My wife and I took off for 3 days of camping and wheeling last Wednesday afternoon 7/3

We found a good spot up in North Routt on the other side of Big Red Park and grilled some Brauts the first night.

We went wheeling around the next day and broke an exhaust hanger. So I used my spare transfer case mount as a hanger, it worked well.

That afternoon I went and rode some single track on my bike and saw Big Foot.

That night we roasted marshmallows in the campfire.

The next morning we took off to go wheeling and about 100 yards from camp the old junkyard Volvo Engine in the Zuki locked up......bummer!
So we had to break camp and use the truck to drive down and pull it back to camp. And then set the camper back up for our last night. We grilled Salmon for dinner. Next, the following morning we towed the Zuki back to town and winched it into the Shop. Then Sunday I went down and pulled the pan to find a mysteriously dry connecting rod on #2. I thought for sure it would be welded to the crank. But, after removing the cap and the head I pushed the piston out of its cylinder and the engine is still locked up. I have 2 more spare Volvo Engines so I'll be rebuilding one of them to get the Zuki back on the trail. Also I'll be tearing down the locked up engine to see what went wrong but, for now it's still a mystery.

Thanks for taking us along ORR.

LB 50, wow , nice to get that much done. Aah, youth.

I pulled the 305 out of my Anglia. Gonna clean up the engine compartment and put a new/old 355 in it. The 305 was a free engine and it started fouling one plug very quickly. The 355 was in the Anglia before and because of my stupidity it hydrolocked. Replaced one piston and a very bent rod and it should be good to go.

If you want to make an Anglia look big, park it next to a Fiat.

Got the brake booster off the Nova & the new one back on... lil more work & I should be good to go! Getting the 4 nuts off on the backside of that unit was a real PITA... glad that's nearly over!

Well it overcast & cooler this weekend & I spent my time between my build & keeping lil goats contained in their pen! Goats can be hard to keep contained but lil goats can get through a space a chicken can go through! Got my steering setup done & keep moving on! I will be SOOOO glad when I finish this build... probably my last complete build! After this I plan on freshening up my Ranchero!
