Best paint over rust?

Listen Tripper, we aint talkin' that Texas rust - were talking Michigan rust!

Thanks for the leads on the Rust Arrester. I'm going to take them to Sherwin & Williams and try to just get them to mach the price, or at least come close. I'd rather spend my money locally, as Michigan is not in good shape right now.

Go to a Robbins auto (if you have one around you) and get a product called SEM rust shield. it is an epoxy based paint availible in white, black (flat, semi and gloss) silver, fisher plow yellow and I think red. It has an oxygen barrier in it that seals the rust in. We just get the flakey off and have at it. it also comes in a spray undercoat as well. you can thin it and spray with a gun but unless you really clean well it will ruin your gun. And don't get it on your skin cause the only way it comes off is to wear it off. Once hard it is like iron and really won't chip easily at all. Just my $.02
